If you’ve been curious about achieving mysterious movement effects in your shots then don’t miss this unique trip on long exposure photography. We’ll help you make sense out of using popular tools like the Big Stopper and Little Stopper from Lee Filters. Learn the crucial camera settings, tripod tricks and special accessories for introducing a creative blurring effect in your landscape photography – just where you want it, while keeping the rest of your picture tack-sharp.
We will visit an undisclosed outdoor shooting location which is suitable for shooting long exposure landscape shots. Location will be given on the day of the event.
EN/DE: This trip is conducted in English but trip leaders speak Swiss German, German and/or English.
The Viewfinder van will depart from the Zurich HB at 8:30, returning in the evening by 17:00.
Open to all skill levels and all ages. Foundational photography skills, such as those covered in Viewfinder’s popular Digital Photography 1-2-3 Course are helpful but not required.
To get the most out of this trip, you’ll need to bring a tripod. Other helpful accessories include: a filter kit such as the “Lee Filters Digital Starter Kit.” To attach the filter holder you’ll need an appropriately sized lens ring as well. If you’re interested in purchasing a tripod, a filter kit or a lens ring, have a look at the product descriptions found in our web-shop. We only sell equipment which we personally use. Please note that a “remote control trigger” and a “cable release” are not the same thing. There are important long exposure settings which cannot be achieved with a remote control. They are camera-specific and be purchased for ca. Fr. 30 – Fr. 60 at your local camera shop.
Viewfinder provides a sack lunch (sandwich, chips, apple & water). Select the sandwich of your choice during registration/checkout.
Minimum of 5 participants, Maximum of 10.
