Itinerary

Landscape Photography Workshop Klausen Pass
29. — 30. June 2019

Day 1 - June 29th

After rendezvousing with Mike, participants will be driven up to Urnerboden where the real fun begins. The choice of where to go first will of course depend on conditions, but subjects may include waterfall photography and hiking to a spectacular sunset shooting location. After dinner, the group will likely do some late evening "blue hour" shooting – depending on conditions.

Day 2 - June 30th

The early bird gets the worm! We'll head out before sunrise in the hopes of capturing that magical morning light as it warms up the alpine landscape of Uri. After a heartier breakfast back at the hotel, we'll be off to shoot at an impressive glacial lake location. By mid-afternoon it'll be time to make our way back to the car and transfer down to Horgen for the train ride home.

Mike Bissig

Mike Bissig feels at home while photographing in the Swiss Alps. Although he lives near Zurich, he spends much of his free time in the alpine region of Uri, base camping at his family's rural farm house in Urnerboden. As a Swiss adventure and lifestyle photographer he concentrates mainly on shooting for the outdoor industry. His photographs of athletes and outdoor enthusiasts get used by companies like Mammut, the Swiss Alpine Club and various tourism agencies. Mike is able to draw on his extensive mountaineering and athletic experience for his outdoor project and adventure tours both at home and abroad, showing Viewfinder students how to get great shots in spite of stormy weather.
