Susi's workshop opens up a whole new world of creativity. One you didn't even know was there!
For many photographers, the world of macro photography is uncharted terrain. Surprising subjects and interesting compositions are often waiting to be found – right under your tripod! With a bit of theory, insight and technical preparation, you’ll be amazed at your ability to capture unique close up photographs of flowers, insects, abstract textures and much more.
The botanical garden in the city of Zurich will serve as our spring laboratory during this one-day photography field trip. Expert macro photographer Susanne Venditti will help you to recognise great photo opportunities and will guide you in composing stronger images in this unique landscape. Join Susanne for an exploration into the often overlooked world of macro photography, right in Zurich’s own backyard.
In the heart of Zurich.
We’ll rendezvous at Zollikerstrasse 107 at the botanical garden of Zurich.
This day trip is open to all photographers. We recommend that participants have a basis of fundamental photography knowledge, such as that which is covered in our popular Digital Photography 1-2-3 Course.
You will need to bring your own camera and macro lens to this course. We recommend dSLR or mirrorless type cameras, but the most important factor is that your lens is capable of true “close-up” focusing. Susanne recommends the 100mm macro lens (Canon) or 105mm macro (Nikon). That said, any macro lens will do and you may want to take this course before buying any new macro equipment.
Lunch is not provided for this day-trip. There’s a small bistro type of restaurant on location or please bring your own lunch with you.
Minimum of 5 participants, maximum 9.
Registration closes two days before event.
This event takes place rain or shine.
