Photographically speaking, Switzerland is lucky to have four distinct seasons, each with it’s own special charm. Autumn of 2016 was quite colorful, and Matt and Dagmar Anderson became obsessed with the search for locations with intense, colorful foliage. They were surprised to find that one doesn’t need to hike all day for great Autumn colors. Fall is a terrific time of year to rediscover your creative spirit, get ideas while mingling with other photographers and explore new outdoor locations in Switzerland.
About an hour’s drive from the Zurich HB.
EN/DE: This trip is conducted in English but both trip leaders speak German/Swiss German and English fluently.
The Viewfinder van will depart from the Zurich HB at 10:30, returning in the evening by ca. 19:30. We’d like to get some warm sunset light on this trip!
Open to all skill levels and all ages. Foundational photography skills, such as those covered in Viewfinder’s popular dSLR 1-2-3 Digital Photography Course are helpful but not required.
We recommend a digital SLR camera (or mirrorless style camera) and a solid tripod for this trip. If you’re interested in long exposure photography or macro shots, definitely bring along a tripod. Macro enthusiasts – don’t leave your close up lenses at home!
Viewfinder provides a sack lunch (sandwich, chips, apple, chocolate bar & water). Select the sandwich of your choice during registration.
Minimum of 6 participants, Maximum of 10.

Registration closes three days before event.
This event takes place rain or shine.
Our group will rendezvous at the Zurich HB before departing to our location in the Viewfinder van. Matt will get you started with some helpful camera tips and strategies for shooting colorful, leafy scenes. Those with an interest in macro photography will have the chance to get creative as well. We’ll visit two locations on this trip, with a short van ride between the two.
