EXPERIENCE LEVEL

Our Digital Photography 1-2-3 is a beginners course and is open to anyone. If you are just starting your photography journey we recommend that you start here. The three different sessions are designed to build on each other as students progress.

EQUIPMENT

We recommend any "system camera" which has a changeable lens (such as those from Olympus, Sony, Fujifilm, Panasonic, Nikon or Canon). We are “brand-agnostic” at Viewfinder, so any camera brand is just fine. If you own a 50mm ("standard lens") please bring it with. We have several 50mm lenses for Nikon and Canon cameras which you are welcome to use during the course. Please be sure to charge your camera's battery and don't forget to bring a memory card with you.
*NOTE: If you currently do not own a camera, we are happy to loan you one for the course.

LOCATION

Instructor

MATT ANDERSON

Matt Anderson is the principle instructor and director at the Viewfinder Center. Matt has been living in Switzerland since 2008. His photography career began sixteen years ago while studying journalism in the United States. As a daily newspaper photographer he acquired a broad base of photography skills and found himself shooting all manner of subjects from sports and news events to portraits and feature assignments. Working as a regular freelancer for the Associated Press, he learned some important lessons about shooting under pressure. These days he balances a busy teaching schedule with photography projects for commercial clients in the Zurich area. Matt’s work has been recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists, the National Press Photographers Association (USA), and the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers.

Student Testimonials

That was perfect! Looking forward to the next courses. I registered for Digital Photography 1-2-3 and I’m planning to attend more courses. I will definitely recommend Viewfinder Center to a friend who is also seeking to improve her skills.

Thanks for a fantastic class! I can't believe how much I was able to learn during the day and how these new ideas have completely changed my approach to taking pictures.
Jack M.
What a great day today!!! You must hear this at the end of each course, but really, it was amazing. I didn't expect to go through so much information and so many things which until now were always so vague and unclear. Now it all makes sense.
Giorgina D.L.
Excellent course. Clear, with a good mix of theory and practice. Covered a wide range of topics but to a good depth as well. Really enjoyed it!
