For thousands of years, India has been a fountain of culture, philosophy and spirituality. Our 14 day journey through Rajasthan explores some of India's most cherished sites as well as some of it's less known treasures. The region's majestic forts, luxurious palaces and amazing landscapes will leave a deep impression. But even more inspiring are it's people who's warmth and hospitality are incomparable.
Great variety of heritage sites, beautiful scenery, spectacular wildlife & amazing faces to photograph.
Improve your street, travel and wildlife photography with tips and feedback from your photography instructor.
Round-trip flight to Delhi, plus five domestic flights for extra comfort and time savings.
5 star accommodations with great in-house dining & first-rate service.
VIP welcome at Delhi International Airport. You will be greeted at the aircraft's gate and personally escorted through immigration and customs. Porters will assist with your baggage, a practice which will continue throughout the journey.
Open to all skill levels. Foundational photography skills, such as those covered in our popular 1-2-3 Digital Photography Workshop are strongly recommended for this guided photography travel tour.
Participants will enjoy five-star accommodation throughout the tour, including a high-end safari lodge (in Panna National Park). Accommodations have been hand picked (by Dagmar and Matt) for their close proximity to shooting locations, great service and quality cuisine. For the duration of our trip you will have a professional local guide to share a wealth of interesting facts about the history and culture of Rajasthan. Matt will be there to help with photography related questions and to give you encouragement. Additional (regional) guides will assist where necessary.
For this tour we recommend dSLR or mirrorless type cameras and two or three lenses. Wide-angle lenses will be handy for photographing architecture and other sites. Medium length lenses (zoom or fixed) are perfect for street photography and spontaneous portraits. You'll be glad to have a longer telephoto lens if the opportunity to photograph a tiger in (Panna National Park) presents itself.
Photographer Matt Anderson will provide you with photography tips and encouragement in the various shooting situations you'll encounter on this tour. In the evenings Matt will provide feedback and share Lightroom editing and retouching tips to help you achieve the very best end-result from your digital images. Local guides will accompany our group throughout the tour — helping us understand the historical, cultural and/or natural significance of each of our locations.
Matt Anderson is Viewfinder's lead photography instructor and is responsible for course development and for teaching a number of Viewfinder’s photography courses and workshops. Matt’s photography career began in the USA where he worked at three different daily newspapers and freelanced regularly for the Associated Press in Seattle — where he grew up. These days he regularly shoots for the Zurich-based Keystone agency and works with corporate and private clients in the Zurich area. Matt’s three passions are: exploring new places (near and far), creating impactful photographs, and helping other photographers become more creative and effective in their craft. Matt feels privileged to work in a business that combines his passions and brings him in contact with so many interesting people from all over the world.
